This dataset is a monthly precipitation dataset for mainland China under multiple Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP) scenarios and multiple General Circulation Models (GCMs), with a spatial resolution of 0.0083333° (approximately 1 km), covering the period from January 2021 to December 2100. All data are stored in .nc format.

This dataset was generated via the Delta spatial downscaling method over China, using two reference datasets: the global climate model datasets (with spatial resolution >100 km) released under the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and the global high-resolution climate datasets published by WorldClim.

The dataset employs the latest IPCC-released SSP scenarios: SSP119, SSP245, and SSP585. Each scenario incorporates climate data from three GCMs: EC-Earth3, GFDL-ESM4, and MRI-ESM2-0. The geographic coverage of the dataset includes the main land area of China, excluding regions such as the South China Sea islands and reefs. The unit of precipitation is 0.1 mm.

The file naming convention follows the pattern: GCM_SSP_pre-30s-[serial number].nc, where "30s" refers to the spatial resolution of 0.0083333°. Serial numbers range from 1 to 40, with serial number 1 representing the period from January 2021 to December 2022, and each subsequent serial number corresponding to the next two-year period sequentially. For example, the file EC-Earth3_ssp119_pre-30s-1.nc denotes the monthly precipitation data at 1 km resolution for the period January 2021 to December 2022 using the EC-Earth3 GCM under the SSP119 scenario.
