Regional cycle routes (ICR/GFR) in the
Brussels-Capital RegionRegional Cycle Routes (ICR/GFR) are recommended routes for medium- and
long-distance cycling trips across several municipalities. As a general rule,
these routes use local roads, where traffic is less dense, slower and therefore
less stressful than on main roads. However, crossing certain natural or
man-made obstacles (bridges over valleys, canals, motorways, railway
underpasses, etc.) sometimes brings the routes back onto the main roads.
