Dataset for Study on Association Between Mobility and a Cognitive Measure of Attention and Processing Speed in Middle-Aged Adults

This dataset accompanies a cross-sectional study investigating the association between upper-limb choice reaction time (CRT) and gait performance in community-dwelling middle-aged adults (aged 45–65). Participants performed both single-task and dual-task walking (texting while walking) in an outdoor urban environment. Gait parameters included gait speed, stride time variability (STV), and dynamic time warping (DTW) in mediolateral and anteroposterior directions. The dataset also includes cognitive performance data, self-reported mobility scores, and physical activity levels. The study provides insight into how age and cognitive demands influence gait and may serve as a resource for further analyses of cognitive-motor interactions in midlife populations.<br>
