Mengshanosaurus minimus is a group of choristoderes that has been reported from the Lower Cretaceous Mengyin Formation of Shandong Province. The holotype is an almost complete fossil skull with a total length of 35 mm, representing a juvenile. The high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) dataset of Mengshanosaurus minimus holotype (IVPG-T002) consists of 4 subsets in total: (1) “slice images.zip”, 10.5 GB, consists of a scan parameter document (parameter.pcr) and 5354 original CT slice images (*.tif); (2) “specimen photo and CT model images.zip”, 362 MB, includes a photo of the holotype specimen (holotype photo.tif) and an image showing the CT model in various views (Mengshanosaurus minumus CT model.tif);(3) “videos.zip”, 2.30 GB, includes three video documents showing the three-dimensional CT model of the skull spinning around roll, pitch, and yaw axes (*.avi);(4) “skull polygon mesh.stl”, 881 MB, is a three-dimensional surface model of the holotype skull.The Mengshanosaurus minimus holotype was scanned by using the HRCT scanner phoenix v|tome|x m, and the original CT data has a spatial resolution of 7.5197 μm. The three-dimensional reconstruction of the CT model of the skull, the images and videos of the CT model of the skull, and the three-dimensional surface model of the skull were finished on the VG Studio Max 3.4.0.
