资源简介:
The threat posed by multi-drug resistant pathogenic bacteria has become more prevalent leading to more common hard-to-treat infections all over the world. Originating in hospitals and among the most common life-threatening nosocomial pathogens, the ESKAPE pathogens (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter species) are especially associated with high mortality rate under drug resistant condition. The existence of a particular gene in their genomes proofs again its role in the ability of these bacteria to resist the effects of most common antibiotics or even the last-line antibiotics including fluoroquinolone and carbapenem. Therefore, the study of the pattern of antibiotic resistance, the genotype-phenotype relationship and the molecular mechanism underlying might contribute to the therapeutic and infection control.
