Gut microbiota of fecal samples in LPS-induced septic mice

Pectin oligosaccharides (POS), as a novel prebiotics derived from natural pectin, has potent anti-inflammatory properties.This study aims to investigate the protective effects of POS against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced sepsis and its impact on the gut microbiota in mice.The C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned into control (n=12), LPS (n=12), LPS+Low-dose POS (n=12) and LPS+H-dose POS (n=12) groups. Sepsis mice model was induced by LPS treatment. Gut microbiota were detected to evaluate the protective effect of POS in LPS-induced septic mice.
