A cleaned and enriched dataset of 49,036 real adoptable dogs from US shelters and rescues, originally collected from the PetFinder API on September 20, 2019. Each row represents a single adoptable dog with rich text descriptions, breed information, demographics, compatibility flags, training/needs, location, and PetFinder URL. The dataset includes a pre-built match_text column designed for semantic similarity matching. The source, cleaning process, column reference, usage, statistics, and license are also detailed.
