Assessment of the South African anchovy resource using data up to 2024

The baseline assessment of the South African anchovy resource has been updated to include data from 2024. This model, which assumes time-invariant natural mortality, is compared with time-varying and density dependant natural mortality alternatives. Given the recent consecutive years of poor recruitment, one alternative to a time-invariant Beverton Holt stock recruitment relationship is also re-considered.
