The slopes of Mt. Barcroft in the White Mountains of eastern California were surveyed during the summers of 2005 and 2006 to map the uppermost elevational limits of Artemisia arbuscula. Individuals or groups of plants were located with GPS, and numbers of individuals and their sizes were recorded.
