Dieser Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit dem Gebrauch von musikalischer Improvisation als Methode in der Supervision und geht der Frage nach, ob diese auch in supervisorischer Arbeit mit Nicht-MusiktherapeutInnen eingesetzt werden kann. Aktuelle Konzepte von Kreativität und künstlerischen Medien in der Supervision werden vorgestellt. Ein Supervisionsprozess mit musikalischen Elementen wird anhand von schriftlichen Reflexionen der SupervisandInnen ausgewertet. MusiktherapeutInnen/SupervisorInnen werden zu ihren Erfahrungen in der musikalischen Improvisation mit SupervisandInnen anderer Berufsgruppen befragt. Ausgehend von psychodynamischen Konzepten zu Spiel, sicherer Basis und Möglichkeitsraum bringt die Autorin das Improvisieren in der Musiktherapie in Verbindung mit musiktherapeutischer Supervision. Die musikalische Improvisation, so wie sie als Methode innerhalb der Musiktherapie definiert ist, kann Supervisionsprozesse von MusiktherapeutInnen und Angehörigen anderer Berufsgruppen bereichern. Sie bringt nicht nur Lebendigkeit und Spontaneität in sonst eher kognitiv orientierte Supervisionsprozesse, sondern beeinflusst auch die reflexiven Fähigkeiten der SupervisandInnen. This paper discusses the use of improvisation in supervision and questions the possibility of using improvisation in supervision with non-music therapists. A literature review presents current concepts of creativity and creative arts techniques used in supervision. Group supervision including musical improvisation is evaluated based on reflections written by the supervisees after each session. Music therapists/supervisors are questioned about their experience of and thoughts on using improvisation with non-music therapist supervisees. The author mainly focuses on the concepts of play, secure base and potential space. From there she connects the use of free improvisation in music therapy and supervision of music therapists. Musical improvisation as it is defined within the profession of music therapy can enrich supervision processes with music therapists as well as other professionals. It does not just simply add vividness and spontaneity to the usually rather cognitive orientated supervision process, it also effects the supervisees reflective abilities. peerReviewed publishedVersion
