In this study, tigecycline-susceptible and -intermediate strains were gradually induced into tigecycline-resistant strains by in vitro induction with sub-minimum inhibitory concentrations of tigecycline, and a tigecycline-resistant strain was induced into susceptible strain by high temperature induction. Afterwards, the growth ability, antibiotic sensitivity, mobility and biofilm formation ability of these strains were tested. Cell membrane damage, 16S rRNA variability, efflux pump inhibition experiment, proteomics and genomics analysis were performed to explore the mechanism of tigecycline resistance in these strains.
