3DPW stands for 3D Poses in the Wild. It is the first outdoor dataset with accurate 3D human poses for addressing human pose estimation tasks. While other outdoor datasets have been proposed previously, most of them are relatively small-scale. Notably, 3DPW is the first dataset containing video clips captured by smartphone cameras.
