RNA sequencing data of PC3, an androgen negative human prostate cell line, treated with estrogenic compounds

To analyse and understand the differentially expressed genes when treated with estrogenic compounds Overall design: PC3 cells were plated in RPMI 1640 media with no phenol red enriched with 5% charcoal stripped serum, sodium pyruvate, penicillin and streptomycin and left to grow during 48h to allow steroid deprivation. Then, media was changed and the cells were treated with either: vehicle (mix of 96% ethanol and DMSO), E2 (10 nM), PPT (1 nM) or DPN (4.25 nM). One day later, the RNA of the cells was first purified with the QIAGEN RNeasy plus purification kit, then enriched for mRNA and finally sequenced.
