DEVELOPMENT OF HORTICULTURE AND VITICULTURE SECTORS IN TASHKENT REGION

This article provides a historical and analytical overview of the formation and development stages of horticulture and viticulture in the Tashkent region. The study examines the influence of the region’s natural and climatic conditions, irrigation systems, and agrarian policies on fruit and grape production. In particular, it analyzes the expansion of orchards and vineyards within the framework of the collective farm (kolkhoz) and state farm (sovkhoz) system during the Soviet period, the establishment of specialized agricultural enterprises, and the implementation of agrotechnical measures aimed at increasing productivity.
