NRS-16923 | Equipment Register [McCully's Gap Public School]

The equipment register was used to record the acquisition by the school, the value, and the location on school premises, of items of office or classroom equipment such as projectors, public address systems, duplicators and other movable items or replaceable installations. The volumes were printed in a standard format, with the name of the school to be entered at the top of each page, and successive columns below recording the date of acquisition, the name of the item, its value, the amount of departmental subsidy towards its acquisition, the maker's serial number, the object's location in the school, and the details (if any) of its eventual disposal. A final column was provided for remarks.The series from McCully’s Gap Public School consists of a single volume, on the first page of which are entered six items of equipment possessed by the school. Three of these items bear no date of acquisition; the others are assigned approximate dates between 1964 and April, 1966. All six entries are in the same hand and pen, and appear to have been made on one and the same occasion, necessarily in or after April, 1966. The heading “Equipment $6.00 or over” appears at the top of the page. The volume was viewed by the Inspector of Schools, who has added his signature and the date, in May, 1967.
