Fijian seagrass dataset with soil carbon, geomorphic variables, seagrass probability map, and analysis code used in the manuscript 'Soil Carbon Stocks in Fijian Seagrass: Environmental Drivers, National Inventories, and Implications for Blue Carbon'

This repository contains the following data and code for analyzing seagrass carbon stocks in Fiji: \n1)\tData from 135 soil cores collected from 47 sites across Vanua Levu, the Lau Group, and the Moala subgroup. \n2)\tGeomorphic variables for each site derived from open-source geospatial datasets\n3)\tSeagrass probability map for Fiji generated using Sentinel-2 multispectral satellite imagery (10m resolution) from 2022-2024\n4)\tR scripts and associated data subsets used to examine spatial and environmental drivers of organic carbon storage in Fijian seagrass meadows\n\nLineage: Seagrass soil carbon data are derived from a subset of data collected in Fiji as part of the Pacific Blue Carbon Program.
