Data 11, 1211 (2024). https://doi.org/10.1038/s41597-024-04043-zOverviewQuasicrystals are solid-state materials with unique symmetries, such as icosahedral and decagonal diffraction patterns, first discovered in 1984. Since then, numerous quasicrystals have been identified, and extensive research has been conducted to explore their properties. However, a systematically organized dataset compiling the findings has not been available. Additionally, the difficulty of applying calculations due to quasiperiodicity has hindered the development of datasets. To address this issue, we developed HYPOD-X by focusing on experimental data. The data were manually or semi-automatically extracted from scientific literature and then organized in an accessible CSV format.
