Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Heidelberg strain:18H Genome sequencing

Salmonella Heidelberg (SH) is one of the leading serovars causing human salmonellosis and is emerging as a food-borne pathogen. The increasing number of virulent and multidrug-resistant isolates highlights their clinical relevance and how difficult treatment can be. This project aims to characterize the genome of SH strains isolated from broilers produced in southern Brazil.
