Database of vascular plant species richness across a forest-grassland-desert transect in East Asia

We compiled a database of vascular plant species richness across a forest-grassland-desert transect in East Asia based on literature survey via Web of Science (https://www.webofscience.com/), the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (http://www.cnki.net) using different combinations of the keywords "Mongolia/ Greater Khingan Mountains/ Helan Mountains/ Alashan Desert" and "biodiversity/ species richness/ species diversity." We also derived data from Sabatini et al. (2022) which was mainly compiled from "sPlot" database (www.idiv.de/splot) (Bruelheide et al. 2019). Overall, the database includes 1512 observations of vascular plant species richness. Please find more information in the paper by Li and Du (2024) in Journal of Vegetation Science.
