资源简介:
The project aims at collecting data on the virological factors determining the ability of within-host spread of human papillomaviruses HPV6 and HPV11 and consequent severity of mucosal disorders caused. The basic research question is how virus genetics affect outcome and how this is influenced by host immunogenetic background. To address these questions the following should be investigated;i) whether there are virus strains which are more aggressive; ii) what are the genetic properties of lineages or individual virus strains leading to higher virulence; iii) which virus genome polymorphisms affect severity and how; iv) what are the interactions between virus proteins or between virus proteins and host molecules that has a role in pathogenesis (preliminary results suggest that these differ from those of human papillomaviruseswith high oncogenic risk); and finally v) how all of these virological factors are influenced by genetically determined cytokine profiles of patients.
