Number of aerothermal heat pumps sold in selected countries of the EU 2020

The European Union member states sold approximately 4.2 million heat pumps in 2020. The country with the highest amount of heat pumps sold was by far Italy. France and Spain sales were the second and third highest volume, with approximately 987 thousand and 400 thousand units sold in that year, respectively.
