Global genomic analysis of a bacterial transcription factor mutant. Caulobacter crescentus NA1000

The goal of this study is to identify the direct and indirect effects of a conserved bacterial transcription factor on growth and metabolism. Disruption of this factor alters metabolic homeostasis and drastically impacts cell morphogenesis and metabolism. Identifying the implicated genes and proteins in this network furthers our understanding of the global regulation of bacterial growth and how it could be targeted with novel antibiotics.
