Dataset for: How ChatGPT Features Shape Motivation, Engagement, and Higher-Order Competency Development in Higher Education

This record provides the dataset and documentation supporting the analyses reported in the manuscript “How ChatGPT Features Shape Motivation, Engagement, and Higher-Order Competency Development in Higher Education.” The study investigates how perceived ChatGPT features (knowledge acquisition, personalization, and efficiency) relate to university students’ autonomous motivation (intrinsic motivation and identified regulation), cognitive and emotional engagement, and higher-order competencies. Survey data were collected from 155 undergraduate students in Taiwan and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). To protect participant privacy, all shared files are de-identified and contain no personally identifiable information.
