The PROSPEcT project relies on Pathogen Resistance introduction in commercially important hOrticultural Species in PiEdmonT, aimed at developing genotypes of potato, tomato and pepper varieties resistant/tolerant to late blight (LB) and powdery mildew (PM) diseases. Target susceptibility genes (S-GENES) have been disabled through the application of the CRISPR/Cas9 technique (e.g.: on MLO, PRM4 and DMR6).
