Gene expression profile at single cell level of the intestinal T cells from patients with inflammatory bowel disease

T cells are key mediators of inflammation. Here we performed deep profiling of T cells in the gut of patients with inflammatory bowel disease to reveal the functional specialization of lymphocytes under pathological conditions and provide comprehensive insights into the pathogenesis of this disease. Intestinal CD3+ T cells were isolated by Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) and analyzed using scRNAseq. This technology was further combined to BD AbSeq system to measure protein and transcriptome levels simultaneously at a single cell level.
