Historical benthic dredge samples from the southern baltic and the North Sea. This dataset was digitised at the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel; Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences; Marine Ecology Division; Fishery Biology section. This dataset was reconstructed from german benthos data from LITERATURE
-"Brandt 1893" Basis of the distribution records: Holsatia-Expedition 1887 "Die mit der Kurre oder der Dredge auf der Expedition gesammelten Tiere
-"Heidrich 1902" Basis of the distribution records: Die Ostsee-Expedition 1901 des deutschen Seefischereivereins
-"Möbius 1873" Basis of the distribution records: Die wirbellosen Thiere der Ostsee
-"Möbius 1880" Basis of the distribution records: Die Untersuchungen der Danziger Bucht
Part of the data was also reconstructed from museums collection: Ulrike Stein, Wolfgang Huckriede und H. Rumohr: Histroische Benthosdaten aus Nord- und Ostsee in den Jahren 1902-1912.
