Sentry Disease Reports Dataset

This dataset was created from the results of 1,143 disease reports by 15 trained female village sentries in 5 villages within two districts of Nepal (Nuwakot and Dhading). This dataset includes the disease report date, the coded sentry number, the district, village and ward number of the report, the number of days of the illness and the livestock species type, the number of that livestock species owned by the farmer, the number of sick animals and the number of deceased animals, the disease signs reported by the farmer, the suggestion of the diagnosis from the sentry, and the desired response by the livestock owner. This dataset was collected through the research of the project “Empowerment of Village Women for Detection and Control of Livestock Diseases in Nepal” lead by Colorado State University as part of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Livestock Systems.
