Enterprises and Local Units - Counts, Employment and Turnover, Borough

IDBR employment data are provided within this 10 year dataset so that Counts, Employment and Turnover are all on a consistent IDBR basis, and these variables can be used in combination eg Turnover per Enterprise. This is the first time IDBR employment and turnover have ever been published. Turnover for this dataset includes Financial Intermediation where some turnover figures are volatile. 2 digit SIC Local Authority data for Enterprises and Local Units for 2009 are available from Neighbourhood Statistics. http://neighbourhood.statistics.gov.uk/dissemination/Info.do?page=analysisandguidance/analysisarticles/idbr-analysis-to-support-local-authorities.htm IDBR is the best source for counts of enterprises and local units. Definitions: Enterprise Group - A group of legal units under common ownership. Local Unit - An individual site (for example a factory or shop) in an enterprise.
