AXION

Axion is a novel synthetic system inspired by bioelectric memory and regenerative patterning in non-neural lifeforms such as planaria. Unlike symbolic AI, Axion functions through a decentralized voltage field where memory, sensation, and self-regulation arise from local interactions alone. This paper introduces the conceptual foundations, architectural design, and early results from Axion's simulation, revealing emergent coherence, oscillatory stability, and primitive pattern memory. These findings suggest that cognition and identity may arise from field-based voltage dynamics, challenging traditional models of artificial intelligence and opening new philosophical and technical directions in the study of synthetic life.
