A preliminary look at NGM perfect prog temperature guidance in North Dakota

With all the guidance available to the WSFO forecaster today, the addition of the NGM perfect prog temperature guidance (Technical Procedures Bulletin No. 369) may be viewed with mixed feelings in the field. On one hand, since the NOl is fast becoming the main model package, it is appropriate to begin basing our statistical guidance packages on it. On the other hand, we already have a full set of statistical guidance based on the MOS technique that we have been told for many years is the best way to go. So where does this NOT guidance fit into the day-to-day routine of the forecaster?
