The overall objective of this project is to identify and characterize variants of microbial agents (viral and bacterial) that may be circulating in commercial chicken farms in the IMETA (India, Middle East, Türkiye and Africa) region. Immunological and respiratory samples will be collected from chickens using standard procedures, spotted on FTA cards for shipment, and prepared for next-generation sequencing (NGS) and data processing using an untargeted discovery pipeline.
