Ovary transcriptome profiling of Xinong Saanen goats. Capra hircus

To assess the effects of repeated estrus synchronization (ES) on ovarian structure and function, we used 6 female Xinong Saanen dairy goats, randomly divided into two groups, and receive either thrice ES treatments at fortnight intervals or once ES treatment, the ovaries of each goats were collected and sequencing. Using RNA-Sequencing technology, the effects of repeated gonadotropin treatment on the goat ovary were investigated, some of the DEGs involved in hormone biosynthesis and secretion, follicular development and sperm-egg binding process. Functional analysis identified two candicate DEGs were significantly enriched in cocaine addiction pathways, and the DEGs were significant enriched in the DNA repair and DNA repair damage GO terms.
