According to a survey on subscription video-on-demand (SVoD) conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021, approximately 51 percent of Thai respondents stated that they subscribed to a SVoD service provider because it offered a larger variety of content than cable and satellite TV. The same survey found that more than half of the respondents in Thailand subscribed to such streaming services.
