We attempted to draft the sequences of Y chromosome in Actinidia species (kiwifruit). 10X Genomics sequencing was used to construct and anchor the male specific region of the Y chromosome (MSY) including the two sex determining genes. We also resequenced a natural hermaphrodite accession to reveal the genomic context of MSY.
