Current Questions on Climate Protection (April 2024)

The study ‘Current questions on climate protection’ was conducted by the opinion research institute Verian (formerly Kantar Public) on behalf of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government. During the survey period from 17 April 2024 to 23 April 2024, the German-speaking population aged 14 and over in private households was surveyed on climate protection in telephone interviews (CATI).<br>Concern about possible consequences of climate change; assessment of current political measures for climate protection as appropriate; assessment of current political measures for climate protection as: sensible, comprehensible, overwhelming for the respondent; assessment of the commitment of various actors to climate change: federal government, industry, citizens, respondent; assessment of the appropriateness of current climate protection measures in the following areas: transport and mobility, energy supply, construction, agriculture; probability of achieving Germany´s climate protection targets by 2030.

Demography: sex; age; school leaving certificate; employment; household composition and household size; party preference in the next federal election; net household income (grouped).

Additionally coded: respondent ID; size of locality; region; weight.
