The review entailed a systematic literature search, data extraction, quality appraisal, and data synthesis via a quantitative approach. Review findings were reported following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA). The review protocol was registered in the PROSPERO systematic review register (CRD42020207788). Bibliographic search in Embase, CINAHL, Web of Science Core Collection, MEDLINE, PsycINFO and PsycArticles was carried out from inception up to 7th November 2020. The study selection process was presented using the four-phase item PRISMA flow chat with characteristics of included and excluded studies. The Effective Practice and Organisation of Care (EPOC) risk of bias tool and the National Institute of Health (NIH) quality assessment tool for before-after (pre-post) studies was employed for quality assessment.
