Plasma-derived miRNAs as fluid biomarkers to differentiate Alzheimer's and Frontotemporal Dementia
收藏资源简介:
The database includes the raw data of the article “Plasma-derived miRNAs as fluid biomarkers to discriminate Alzheimer’s and Frontotemporal Dementia”. The aim of this work was to identify AD- and FTD-specific commonly deregulated miRNAs as fluid biomarkers of a cohort comprising HC, FTD and AD patients. The database comprises data obtained by the following investigations: a) patients’ clinical evaluation; b) miRNAs expression level in EVs; c) miRNAs expression level in PBMCs; d) miRNAs-target-genes expression level in PBMCs. miR-638 emerged as a potentially interesting SEVs-associated biomarker to distinguish AD from FTD. Moreover, the expression of two of its validated target genes in PBMCs aligned with miR-638 expression in the same cell type and it may reflect distinct underlying brain pathological states, although their differential expression between the two pathologies should be interpreted cautiously.
