FEMPOWER—Fragmentation of Women’s Organizations and Women’s Empowerment, 1980-2023—is a publicly available dataset under the license CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0 Public Domain Dedication). It offers information on the names, acronyms, founding and dissolution years, member countries, headquarters location, goals, ideological fragmentation, size, and international reach of women's organizations, along with their strategy and engagement. The data spans from 1980 to 2023 and is available in .csv format. The dataset disaggregates the women’s international organizations by countries and years, thus showing the local-global linkages over time.
