Didesmococcus koreanus mitogenome

Understanding of the phylogenetic relationships within Coccidae remains limited because the taxonomy on the scale insects is based largely on the morphological characters from the female adult. The mitogenome is widely used to reconstruct the phylogenetic relationship of insects as a important molecular marker. But the mitogenome of Coccoidea is rarely reported, hindering further understanding the systematical relationship within Coccidae. This study on the mitogenome of Didesmococcus koreanus will provide a new data for further exploring the phylogenetics of Coccidae.
