Can handwriting analysis help financial institutions understand how clients behave? : Understanding Financial Decision Making of Neurotic Individuals

The primary data was collected using a questionnaire tool developed in the English language. It was administered to 900 participants based on convenience sampling with 44% success rate, i.e 402 respondents filled the questionnaire and provided the needed information.
The handwriting features used for analysis were extracted from the questionnaire using the sample text “The London Letter” originally designed by Osborn in 1929 (Harralson & Miller, 2018) as a predetermined text (Gavrilescu & Vizireanu, 2018) This paragraph has been used to collect handwriting samples in order to extract handwriting features for published studies.
The behavioral statements were included to gather data that could be used for classification according to the Big Five Personality Traits Model. The questionnaire is based on the big five personality traits, and uses related facets along with correlated adjectives from John & Srivastava’s well cited work (John & Srivastava, 1999).
