<b>Meltwater Intrusion Deep in the Glacial Arctic Mediterranean</b>em
收藏资源简介:
The dataset includes five parts: Core data, Ventilation age, C. wuellerstorfi δ18O, C.suellerstorfi δ13C, and Sea water δ18O. For δ18O and δ13C analysis, 3-5 specimens of the epifaunal benthic foraminifera <i>C. wuellerstorfi</i> were selected from the >150 µm fraction. All results are referenced against the PeeDee belemnite (PDB) and further calibrated using the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) 19. The analytical standard deviation stands at approximately ± 0.07 ‰. For AMS14C dating, 7–10 mg of well-preserved specimens of the planktic foraminifera <i>N. pachyderma</i> and 3–4 mg of the epifaunal benthic foraminifera <i>C. wuellerstorfi</i> were selected from the >150 μm fraction at core depths of 0–1 and 3–4 cm. The 14C-ventilation age has been outlined as the conventional 14C disparity observed between benthic and planktic foraminifera. The bottom seawater δ18O (δ18Osw), expressed in permil relative to Standard Mean Ocean Water (SMOW), was computed from the equilibrium δ18O of <i>C. wuellerstorfi</i>.
