Coffee sales in Kenya 2021-2023

In September 2023, coffee sales in Kenya amounted to some 340 metric tons, a huge decrease compared to roughly 3,400 metric tons sold in Sep 2022. In August 2023, roughly 154 metric tons of the item were sold, the lowest level registered throughout the period under review. Coffee is an important commodity in Africa, especially in the East part of the continent. In Kenya, the industry is known for its cooperative system of production. Arabica, a high quality mild coffee, is the predominant type produced in the country.
