Sample type: Human fecal samplesSampling site: Lanxi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, ChinaHost: Homo sapiens (metabolic syndrome patients)This study aims to investigate the effects of olive oil and medium- and long-chain triglycerides (MLCT) on cardiometabolic health in patients with metabolic syndrome, with a specific focus on elucidating the roles of gut microbiota in mediating these effects through a 6-month randomized clinical trial.
