Pollen and macrofloral analyses at sites KS-36 and KS-37 were at least
in part exploratory. Previous attempts to extract pollen from prehistoric
sediments in this area have largely met with failure. Therefore, the pollen
portion of this study was engaged in establishing whether or not sufficient
pollen could be extracted from these samples to warrant further pollen
sampling at similar sites.
