Illumina Next generation sequencing libraries were created to sequence the ectopic gypsy 5'LTR-genomic junctions and determine the insertion sites in the D. melanogaster genome. This was used to characterize the spectrum of insertion sites in the Ubi Gal4>UAS-gypsy fly strain.
