The purpose of this project was to develop a fully annotated genome for the alpine ground beetle, Nebria riversi (Coleoptera: Carabidae). Comparative genomics analysis of this species provides insight into the evolution of Carabidae, comprising more than 40,000 species, relative to other beetles, as well as genomic changes accompanying specialization in alpine habitats.
