Over the past five decades, glaciers in Alaska have accounted for one-third of the global total sea-level contribution from mountain glaciers. Based on the Randolph Glacier Inventory 6.0 (RGI6.0), we updated the glacier inventory data for Alaska using remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) technologies. The updated inventory utilized 2018 Landsat OLI remote sensing imagery as its data source, with manual interpretation adopted as the core methodology.
