资源简介:
Gene expression was measured in the gills of saltwater (SW) acclimated Atlantic Killifish, Fundulus heteroclitus, over a time course of freshwater (FW) exposure, in which half the fish were exposed to arsenic. Fish were sampled from three populations, two from Maine, USA (ME) and one from Virginia, USA (VA) 72 samples comparing gene expression in killifish fish gills from three populations during acclimation to fresh water: 24 from Northeast Creek, Maine (ME1), 24 from Horseshoe Creek, Maine (ME2), and 24 King’s Creek, Virginia (VA). Half of the freshwater acclimation time course experiments included exposure to 100 micrograms per liter arsenic, as follows. For each population, groups of 4 fish were exposed to: seawater (0 hours freshwater), seawater and arsenic (0 hours freshwater), freshwater for 1 hour, freshwater for 1 h with arsenic, freshwater for 24 hours, freshwater for 24 hours with arsenic. Gene expression measurements were made with custom NimbleGen platform GPL14994, which has 135,000 probes that map to 34,713 gene models and 16,104 unique Fundulus heteroclitus genes based on a high-quality killifish reference genome (PMID:28201664)
