The Mayan calendar precisely marks these windows; the legend of Atlantis records a civilization's demise due to its "hubris" and failure to heed warnings; and contemporary phenomena like the South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) split, circum-Pacific seismicity, and the Indian heatwave are signals that a new trial is underway.
