Coconut site: About coconut tree planted in colonial days - interesting as a history of colonial times. Thompson, a patro. officer based in Morehead, shot a dog near here with his rifle, 'in colonial times they didn't want dogs to come around', he was rude and did it in a public square. There was a resthouse just to the south of the coconut tree; that's where they were living. GPS location of coconut tree: 8 63060 S, 142 05208 E. Interviewer: Daniel Gubae.
